Bringing hope in the midst of crisis
We believe in a God of hope and we exist to see ‘hope restored’ throughout the Gurnell Grove estate. Since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown we’ve adapted our activities dramatically to respond to the needs of people living on the Grove. The impact for many residents has been severe as people have struggled to pay for food and basic essentials and have been battling with anxiety, loneliness and fear.
Our Response
We're working hard to reach as many people in need as possible. Over the last year we have:
Established a Relief Centre to distribute food packages to families and individuals throughout Ealing borough – we are currently feeding over 500 people per week. Please note that this service has now stopped.
Delivered lunches to those who would normally access our Thursday community lunch
Delivering activity packs to those who would normally access our Friday after school kids club
In addition, we’re working hard to meet virtually with Gurnell residents by:
Continuing our Wednesday House Church via zoom
Shopping and collecting prescriptions for elderly residents and those self isolating
Hosting a virtual ‘Singalong’ on zoom, Monday nights at 6:30pm
Bingo Church Online on zoom, once a month on Friday nights 7:30 - 9:00pm
