Our Team
Mark, & Laura Tate
Mark and Laura lead The Grove Community and have lived on Gurnell Grove since 2016. Mark is the Pastor and Laura is the Administrator. They both enjoy a good sitcom and a Five Guys burger—Mark loves playing football, while Laura prefers tea and cake.
Denise Colliver
Denise is our Pastoral Care Coordinator and a great listener who loves getting to know people—quite a turnaround from her teenage years when she wanted to be a vet to avoid people! God has clearly done some heart surgery. She also loves cake, chocolate, and a good salad.
Joshua Koch
Joshua is the full-time Community Project Leader at The Grove. He is married to Beth and has a fascinating background as a former chemical engineer. Originally from South Africa, he loves cooking, hot sauce, and sport—and is very tall!
Paula Bailey
Paula is a key volunteer at The Grove and has been part of the Gurnell Grove community for over 10 years, where she lives with her partner, Win, and their two daughters. Known and loved by many, she enjoys a good cup of tea, a proper fry-up, and is a bit of a puzzle expert.
Jenny Erber
Jenny is our Curate, serving in partnership with St Mary’s Hanwell. She is passionate about community, sharing the good news of Jesus, and helping people grow in faith. Married to Lee and a mum of four, she loves bringing people together—whether over a cup of tea, a good plate of cheese and pasta, or a lively karaoke night.
Beth Koch
Beth is the Community Grocery Manager at The Grove and is married to Joshua Koch . Beth enjoys creating welcoming spaces where people feel known and loved, and is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus through prayer, hospitality, and hearing personal stories. In her spare time, she enjoys creative projects, music, and spending time with friends and family.
Our Trustees
The work of The Grove Community Church is overseen by a Board of Trustees made up of individuals with a range of experience in leadership, church ministry, and professional sectors.
Rachel Bedford (Chair)
Rachel is the Vicar of Greyfriars Church, Reading.
Jane Maffett (Treasurer)
Jane is part of the Leadership Team at St Stephen’s Ealing and previously worked at Lloyds Bank.
David Baylor
David is the Vicar of St Stephen’s Ealing.
Jonny Baker
Jonny is part of the Senior Leadership Team at the Church Mission Society.
Anusha Coutiganne
Anusha is Head of Consulting at Vogue Business and serves on the PCC of St Paul’s Ealing.
Theresa Jackson
Theresa is Proximity Development Manager at The Message Trust.
